Joanna Lui

Mrs. Joanna Lui oversees Asset Portfolio Management, Lifestyle Curation and Lifestyle Operations at Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG); is an Executive Director of the GEG Foundation; and the creator of CHA BEI - a lifestyle retail, dining and interactive experience inspired by tea, travel, art, fashion & design.

Her role brings new concepts and projects to life across the hospitality, retail and entertainment portfolio at GEG, either in conjunction with interesting luxury lifestyle partners and brands, or through self-developed and in-house curated experiences.

Her projects include the launch of the lauded CHA BEI in 2016; the introduction of New York’s SoHo-originated fine food purveyor Dean & DeLuca to the Hong Kong and Macau audience in 2017; the highest grossing UA Cinema in Greater China, and more yet unannounced in the works across the food and beverage, lifestyle and entertainment space in 2019.

Joanna graduated from Tufts University, and was a Hyatt Management Trainee - working her way up through operations, before joining Galaxy’s corporate hospitality development division. Having gathered both operational and development insight, as well as entrepreneurial nurturing in her family's business; fused with influences from her wanderlust - Joanna evolved a unique sense of style, taste, purpose and commercial practicality, which she now applies to developing the experience of concepts, branding and interior design.

An avid traveller, with a passion for discovering and exploring places, cultures, ideas, foods and stories of people she’s met along the journey, Joanna incorporates such inspiration and personal experiences as well as her love of a conscious lifestyle, design, art, music and purposeful philanthropy into the concepts she curates.

She enjoys championing community causes that empower local female entrepreneurs, conscious living, and supporting the needs of the elderly.

Joanna was recognised in Prestige Magazine's 40 under 40 to watch in 2017, and Hong Kong Tatler's 'Generation T' in 2018. She is currently working on expanding the GEG Foundation's reach and scope in giving back, as well as championing wider causes through her recently launched conscious living platform at CHA BEI, known as a #ConsciousCommuniTea.
