Grace Lam is one of Asia’s most prominent editors and stylists, with 20 years of experience working in the publishing industry in Europe and Asia.
Born in Hong Kong, she spent her formative years in London. The city’s cutting edge style inspired her to pursue a Graphic Design degree specialised in fashion and photography at the famed Central Saint Martin’s. After graduating with a First Class Degree Honour she joined iconic fashion magazine i-D, where she worked with industry greats including Edward Enninful, Paolo Roversi, Craig McDean, Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, Steven Klein, Pat McGrath, Eugene Souleiman and supermodels including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Stella Tennant, Gisele Bündchen, Natalia Vodianova & Linda Evangelista.
In 2005 she relocated to Shanghai, China where she became part of the original team to launch Vogue China. For 10 years, her previous role as the magazine’s Senior Fashion Style Editor saw her producing editorial content, photo shoots and events while working with both local and international celebrities including Maggie Cheung, Shu Qi, Fan Bing Bing, Chris Li Yu Chun, Hu Jun, Aaron Kwok, Daniel Wu, John Woo, Lana Del Rey & Alexa Chung. A passionate supporter of Chinese talent, she has also collaborated with the likes of Wing Shya, Kai Z Feng and Fan Xin, along with Chinese supermodels like Du Juan, Fei Fei Sun, Ju Xiao Wen and Liu Wen.
On 14th May, 2017 (Mother’s Day), Grace launched her new Youtube web series ‘GRACE LAM STYLE’. She steps away from the fashion world to give a helping hand to some of Hong Kong’s most needing and deserving underprivileged people. By using fashion as a way of giving back to the Hong Kong community, each episode Grace gives her guests a much desired boost of confidence and a new lease on life by teaching them some practical styling and shopping tips through a series of makeovers and image transformations.
Grace’s work has appeared in renowned publications including Vogue Italia, Vogue China, Vogue Japan, Architectural Digest China, i-D magazine (London), V magazine (NYC), Numero (China), Spur (Japan) and Figaro (Japan). Grace’s clients include Estee Lauder, M.A.C Cosmetics, Christian Dior, Harvey Nichols, Lane Crawford, Lanvin, Ralph Lauren, Sotheby’s, Canon, J-Crew, DFS, Asahi and Adidas.
While fashion is her first love, Grace is also an avid fan of Bruce Lee movies and Formula One Racing.
